R B Farquhar, an international manufacturer of pre-fabricated bathroom pods, announced yesterday it will start its second custom-built manufacturing facility in Al Ain in 2009. This follows the opening of its first facility in the Czech Republic.
Michael Shand, Managing Director of R B Farquhar, said: "We have worked with several clients in the Middle East over the past few years and came to the conclusion that having a constant presence here will be incredibly important and beneficial.
"The rate of construction in the Middle East is phenomenal and by using RB Farquhar to design and install bathroom pods, developers can save time and ensure that deadlines are met.
"By opening a custom-built manufacturing plant in Al Ain we are able to fully facilitate the needs of clients in a quick, efficient and cost-effective way. Myself and the team are excited about the upcoming months and making a name for ourselves in the region."
A family-owned, company, RB Farquhar said it is responsible for pioneering in modular construction techniques. Shand said a fully-finished bathroom pod leaves Farquhar's assembly line every 15 minutes and is installed by the company on-site.
The manufacturer has been designing and building bathroom pods since 1990, providing for hotels, residential, student accommodation and military markets. It has experience in the fabrication of both luxury pods and simplistic and effective designs to suit all clients.
The company, part of RB Farquhar Limited founded in the late 1940's by Scottish businessman Bob Farquhar, has become a leading supplier of prefabricated pods, temporary accommodation and modular buildings.
