RB Farquhar - manufacturing facilities for prefabricated bathroom pods

Since 2003, all RB Farquhar prefabricated bathroom pods have been manufactured in a custom-built new assembly plant in Chomutov, in the Czech Republic, close to the German border.

The Chomutov plant currently (2007) houses over 400 assembly workers and the manufacturing facilities comprise:

• A 4,000 sq.m. main production hall with mobile assembly lines
• An adjacent 2,500 sq.m pod assembly hall where the frames are erected prior to fitting-out
• Indoor storage facilities for over 2,000 finished pods prior to convoy delivery to site
• Extensive materials and components stores

Finished pods are despatched by road in specialist covered articulated trailers which allow on-site crane access to the pods for off-loading through the trailer roof.
