Using conventional construction techniques, the traditional building site is one of the worst places in the world to attempt serious production efficiencies and quality control. The challenges of weather, access restrictions, labour congestion and infrequent supervision often combine to work very effectively against maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Since 1992, however, all design and manufacture operations for RB Farquhar prefabricated bathroom pods have been fully accredited to BS EN ISO 9001. Prior to despatch from the factory, all supply and waste pipework is pressure tested, while each pod undergoes an intensive quality inspection.
Each finished pod is signed-off with a comprehensive four-page certification of inspection document.
