As InterContinental Hotels Group celebrates (early 2010) the opening of its 1,000th Holiday Inn hotel, it is appropriate to note the role played in that expansion by RB Farquhar.
In the early 1990s, RB Farquhar was the bathroom pod supplier to the very first Express by Holiday Inn hotel, supplying around 80 bathroom pods to the company’s pioneering development at Strathclyde Business Park, on the outskirts of Glasgow.
Fourteen years on, RB Farquhar has, as an approved supplier of bathroom and shower-room pods to Express by Holiday Inn, manufactured and assembled around 5370 bathroom and shower-room pods for 59 different Express by Holiday Inn new-builds and refurbishments in locations across the UK.
