A family-owned Scottish company established in 1947, we pioneered many elements of modular building manufacture during the 1970s and 1980s, including producing ground-breaking prefabricated luxury executive washrooms for a series of prestigious commercial developments in London, including Canary Wharf.
Having demonstrated the technical feasibility of the prefabricated bathroom concept, we went on to introduce high-volume quality-controlled manufacture of pods in 1990, initially concentrating on fast-growing hotel accommodation markets.
Since then, we have built on that valuable early experience to become Europe's leading manufacturer of prefabricated bathroom and shower-room pods, with one pod coming off our assembly lines every 15 minutes (over 10,000 pods per year).
Every aspect of our bathroom pod design and manufacture is quality controlled (we have been fully accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 for over a decade), and our technical design team is recognised as the most experienced in the industry.

RB Farquhar bathroom pods are assembled in quality-controlled factory conditions in our custom-built manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic, ensuring the highest standards of finish.
Prefabricating bathroom pods in this way allows for faster construction programmes and, by significantly reducing the amount of skilled labour on site, produces valuable cost savings over traditional construction methods.
